Valentina Kova’s made-to-order model was built around our belief that every woman’s shape, size, and style should be celebrated. Our collection is home to over 100+ styles that can either be altered or customized. In doing so, we are able to produce less and conserve more, operating with an environmentally friendly approach that prioritizes you.

Alterations Service

Valentina Kova offers basic complimentary alterations to accommodate a range of shapes and sizes. This service is only applicable at our Palm Beach store for full-price items purchased. Basic in-store alterations include shortening hemming, shortening sleeves, taking in shoulders, letting out or taking in of the waist, tapering of sleeves and body, and button changes (additional fee charged based on button). Our boutique associates and tailors will take care of the rest. Please note, alterations including design changes, repairing of damaged garments, lowering the rise of a pant, or items purchased on sale, are not complimentary services.

No additional cost alterations include: 

• Stock sizes 
• Custom color in 144 of our silk colors
• Increase sleeve length up to 5”
• Increase hem length up to 6” all the way around
• Shorten hem length up to 6” all the way around
• Stock styles in different fabrications, if the style allows
• Removing collars
• Button changes (fee charged based on button)  

Custom Order Service

In addition to alterations, we also offer a custom orders service. These more complex customizations will each be subject to an additional charge per item. 

• Add a collar $200

In some circumstances, complex alterations will need to be assessed and priced on a case by case basis. The price will be based on the first item. If ordered in multiples, the price will decrease for orders after that. If an item is not currently in our production run, the item will be subject to an additional fee. Complex order alterations such as, collar and neckline changes, hem design changes, adding darts or pockets, lowering rise, and removing or adding ruffles are subject to final approval. Any additional requests become a bespoke piece that will be handled in the New York Atelier. 

Shipping & Turnaround Time

For alterations and custom orders, additional time is needed to accommodate your order. A standard 3 weeks plus ground shipping time is required for all custom orders. Any stock order needed before our standard 3 week period is subject to a rush charge of an additional $150 per item, which includes express shipping. Any special order needed before our standard 3 week period is subject to a rush charge of an additional $750 per item, which includes express shipping. No rush orders can be completed within 5 business days of order placement. Orders sent from a store will be considered as received by Valentina Kova Headquarters the next business day.
